VINTAGE LONDON 2011

Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway bring their award winning concept to the Southbank Centre over the 29th, 30th and 31st July 2011. Taking its lead from the Festival of Britain (1951), there is no single focus in terms of creative arts. The festival will celebrate musical, fashion, film, art, design and cultural lineages, from the 1920s to the 1980s, and offer a glimpse of where we go from here.

The 21 acre Southbank site will be transformed into a Vintage wonderland. All the wonderful clubs, bands, fashions, art, and design, film, shops, vintage retailers, dance lessons, makeovers, workshops that made Vintage 2010 so memorable will be there along with some cool new Thames boat party surprises.

London’s best cultural quarter to host Britain’s best new cultural event... A perfect fit. Throw on your best frock, pack your dancing shoes and join us for Vintage’s annual celebration of British cool.

Some highlights from the 2010 Goodwood event.

Imagesound are very proud to be supported by both Signagelive and LocoModa at this year's Retail Week Conference which starts tomorrow at The Hilton Metropole in London.
Imagesound has been a strategic partner with Signagelive for over 12 months and uses the Signagelive platform to deliver client content managed screen solutions across both the retail and leisure sectors.
LocoModa is a US based company that specializes in Place-based Social Media:

Place-based social media can be used to help locations engage customers and brands engage audiences. Understanding how to optimize that engagement requires an awareness of the end user’s availability and ability to participate as well as an appreciation of the environment for their engagement, the Digital Out of Home network’s capabilities and the stakeholder’s objectives. Through a white paper available on LocoModa's website they describe the stages of user engagement that map to three types of place-based social media engagement; Passive, Active and Interactive, each in turn mapping to distinct social media applications that can optimize the engagement strategy for locations (retail, hospitality, fitness, health care etc) and brands.

Imagesound brings Al Lewis to RWC2011

Let me introduce you to Al Lewis and Sarah Howells one of our live artists at the year's Retail Week Conference 2011!

Al Lewis is a singer-songwriter from North Wales who now shares his time between Cardiff and London.

In 2009 Al released his first Welsh Language album, spending several weeks at number one in the Welsh Language album charts. In the same year a new EP (Skin & Bones) in collaboration with fellow Welsh compatriot, Paper Aeroplanes' Sarah Howells, was released.

With a sound reminiscent of the classic singer-songwriters of the 70's (Tim Buckley, James Taylor), but delivered with a modern twist akin to Bright Eyes & Sufjan Stephens, the big city is already holding much promise for the boy from Wales.

Al and Sarah are currently on tour at Caffe Nero, they are featured on the music channel at Caffe Nero daily in a regular Artist of the Month feature.

We are delighted that Al and Sarah are making a stop with us at #RWC20 to share their talent with the delegates of Retail Week Conference from around 12.50pm.

“We are delighted with the work Imagesound has done and with our new music in place we can create an even more atmospheric experience for our guests,” said East Lodge Managing Director Iain Hardman. “I have never experienced such friendly and efficient service that is such phenomenal value for money and we would have no hesitation in recommending their work. Throughout the process, they have made us feel like their only customer - even helping us on a Sunday while we were still getting used to the new system. Needless to say, we are impressed.”

Long Live The Classic Album

The album format has been under threat for some time now. Downloading and other forms of home entertainment means the album isn't as celebrated and enjoyed as it once was. However, thanks to a blog started by former Hacienda DJ Greg Wilson, up and down the country, groups of people have started gathering to listen back to classic albums in full.
