We have already told you about the healing sounds of music, right? Well a chain of vets in Leeds agree with us on this one; they have started playing music to animals in an attempt to get them to relax. Cats and dogs are played specially recorded classical music before going into surgery. The therapy is based on advice from a psycho-acoustic expert in America and it seems to be working in soothing the furry patients.

One of the vets, Craig Harrison, makes it clear that only mild classical music can achieve the effect: “Black Sabbath didn’t have any beneficial effect, most dogs ended up barking, so Ozzy Osbourne is out I’m afraid.”
