Josh Osho, the south London
singer has been praised from all angles over recent years, with comparisons to
the likes of 'a grittier John Legend, or an unplugged seal' by
the Guardian, with the BBC crediting: 'his husky tone and honest
lyrics makes him a gem in the UK pop scene'.
Josh has had a bumpy introduction to the music scene. After his parents
split up Josh turned to a life of crime, slept on the streets and landed in the
notorious Ebenezer Hotel. One of the lowest days for Josh was going out to the
shops, only to return to find that everything he had was stolen, apart from his
prized worn out guitar, a lifeline that later saw him sign with Island Records
after spotting his raw talent.
Josh performed a unique cover of Adele’s ‘someone like you’ on SB.TV
which instantly earned the respect of the music industry. Since then he has performed
on ‘Later...with Jools Holland’, ’BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge’ and at some of the
most important venues on the music map, notably performing a surprise duet with
none other than the great Tom Jones at a gig at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Josh’s Latest single release ‘Freewheel’ is an upbeat uplifting
offering of pop/acoustic soul. It helps you look on the brighter side when
things don’t seem to be going your way; Just like Josh did. Josh has turned his life around and at only 22 is beaming with talent. A definite one to watch out for!
Osho's latest album L.I.F.E is available on i-tunes, which features his new release ‘Freewheel’.
