Though this is exciting enough in itself, there has been a huge chunk of news relating to the soundtrack for the game too...and my, what a soundtrack it is.
Ever since the groundbreaking GTA III, the musical stylings of the Rockstar franchise have been almost as important as the storylines for some players; the likes of Liberty Rock Radio, Vice City FM, The Vibe and The Beat 102.7 influencing how you play, drive or what you listen to in real life.
Grand Theft Auto V proves to be no different, promising 240 licensed songs over 15 radio stations and two talk stations - and as well as that, about 20 (yes, you read right - twenty) movies' worth of score.
Bands such as Wavves have contributed to the game, as well as DJ/producers Flying Lotus and DJ Pooh - the latter of whom created the movie Friday. Even Pam Grier and Kenny Loggins have been approached, the former of which hosts a soul station. For some reason this springs to mind Lynne Thigpen in The Warriors...which is only a good thing.
