It's the end of the world!! But don't worry... Because disco is back...
Skream left school with no G.C.S.E’s, but after being
introduced to creating music through a playstation game, there was no turning back! Since
then he has rapidly expanded his skills, some would suggest that he has had a
large part to play in the creation of the ‘dubstep’ genre as a whole. His finesse
in this field has lead to collaborations with many top artists of the last few
years, most notably remixing ‘La Roux’s – Going in for the Kill’, a huge track
that demonstrates just what can be achieved when two very different genres mold together.
Today we have a very different case on our hands. The quality
is still present, but the original moody dubstep is nowhere to be seen. His
latest track ‘Rollercoaster’ features Sam Frank in an electro disco number. As
always the track is well produced, only this time with an injection of fun that
makes you want to drop what you’re doing and jump straight into a dance-off!
The video to ‘Rollercoaster’ is brilliant. It
begins with a radio presenter announcing that all life will perish with the
impact of an oncoming comet. But don’t worry, it turns out to be a disco comet,
you know the one that can be stopped by disco dancing? Of course...
Rollercoaster is available for pre-order here on itunes. The expected release date is the 27th
October 2013.
