Kingsland Road are Matt Cahill, Joe Conaby, Jay Scott, JJ Thompson and Josh Zare. We caught up with them in London folloowing the release of their first single 'Dirty Dancer'.
The guys in Kingsland Road are just starting their musical journey having finished ninth in the tenth series of the X-Factor and are now going it alone after setting up their own independant label.
The band, who have already completed a headline tour, said not getting through was a 'blessing in disguise', they've already done things most X-Factor contestants haven't like Radio 1, numerous TV appearances and now the Imagesound Sessions. They're currently funding their debut album via Pledgemusic due for release in January.
The single 'Dirty Dancer' is performing well in the mid week charts making number 38, if it stays there the boys have promised to jump in the Trafalgar Square fountains naked, so if you really want to see that you'd better get downloading!
