Sir Elton John closed Bestival 2013 last night with a set featuring some of his most well-loved hits.
Before appearing on stage, the cello section of his band played chamber versions of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and AC/DC's 'Back in Black'.
John then entered the arena in a jacket emblazoned with blue glitter and launched into 'The Bitch is Back', which he followed up with 1973 classic 'Benny and the Jets'.
He remarked after the latter song: "Do you know, I haven't done a festival in England since 1969. The only reason I decided to do this is because it's a great festival. I love Rob Da Bank for making it a great success story."
John then proceeded to play a selection of crowd-pleasing tunes from his back catalogue, including 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road', 'Tiny Dancer', 'I'm Still Standing' and 'Candle in the Wind'.
He also debuted new single 'Home Again', which was accompanied by its lyrics on the arena's screens for the audience to sing along, and finished the show with a rendition of 'Your Song'.
The festival concluded with a huge fireworks display, set in part to a mash-up of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' and Chic's 'Good Times'.
Bestival 2013 sees the end of the festival season after and incredible summer in the UK (they'll be talking about 2013 for years as 'The year we couldn't moan about the weather!'), roll on 2014 and more sun baked festival shenanigans!
