At Imagesound we love to hear about our clients winning awards and being recognised for the quality or their product or service be it nationally or internationally, which leads us nicely into the big waves Paul Ainsworth and his team are making in Padstow, home to their two restaurants Number 6 & Rojano’s in the Square.
After working with Chefs like
Gary Rhodes, Gordon Ramsey and Marcus Wareing at some of the most incredible
restaurants in London, if not the world, Paul moved to Cornwall where he took
sole occupancy of Number 6 in 2009, Paul comments ‘We’re really lucky to have
some of the best produce available to us right on our doorstep. Moving to
Cornwall proved to me that the only way to cook is with local, seasonal
produce, which is reflected in every menu I produce’.
After the success of Number 6
Paul decided to work on a new venture: Rojano’s, an Italian style restaurant
positioned in a great location just off the harbour also in Padstow. After 6
months Paul and the team gave Rojano’s a brand new look and relaunched as
‘Ronajo’s in the Square’ in March 2011, ‘I loved the original name but I wanted
to personalise it, so I added ‘in the Square’ because the address is 9 Mill
Square plus it’s a reminder of the time I spent at ‘Gary Rhodes in the Square’
– a huge influence in my career’.
The incredible rise of Paul and
his team hasn’t gone unnoticed, in the 2013 edition of the ‘Michelin
Guide’ Number 6 was awarded its first Michelin Star and more recently was
awarded ‘Restaurant of the Year’ and ‘Best Restaurant Outside London’ in the Food and Travel Magazine Awards 2013, an
achievement Paul puts down to his fantastic team ‘I couldn’t do it without them
so this is for them, but the work doesn’t stop we aim to get better and better
and together I’m sure we will’.

passionate about music, music is part of so many special memories we’ve shared
together. Imagesound share that same passion and together we hope to make
special memories for our customers. They provide the music at both Number 6 and
Rojano’s in the Square and have a clear understanding of the dining experience
we want to create, and they compliment it perfectly. We often get great
feedback from customers about our music, it’s a big part of the experience when
you visit so it’s important it’s exactly right’
