Next up on the Imagesound Session it's Emma Wells, Emma has been honing her vocal talents since a very young age, but she only began professional vocal training in 2010.

Her talent was immediately recognised when she reached the live area final of Open Mic UK that year - one of the country’s biggest national singing competitions. Here she performed as one of just twenty unsigned artists, who had been chosen by industry judges as the best in the area from thousands of auditionees. Emma wowed the judges with her unmistakable voice - rich and seemingly effortless vocals complemented by her luscious distinctive tones. Emma was quickly put in touch with London-based record label BGM and soon became a member of their highly-renowned singing academy Major Music, who are recognised for the development of well-known artists like superstar Pixie Lott, X-factor’s Lucy Spraggan and teen sensation Hatty Keane.

Emma's self-penned debut record draws on her love for all things musical; soul, country and blues all in the mix. Hints of Emma's current listening, which includes Amos Lee, Rumer, Ryan Adams and Emilia Mitiku can be heard - however it's deeper influences from Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones, as well as a childhood journey through rooms filled with the sounds of Dusty Springfield, that have inspired most over the years.

So here's Emma playing as part of her Caffe Nero Tour which ended recently, there's rumours she may make another appearance at the Caffe Nero tent at Cornbury Festival, lets hope so.
