As The Wombats passed through Sheffield on their UK tour we managed to squeeze in a very special Session ahead of their sound check at The Leadmill.
As if you already didn't know The Wombats are an indie rock band formed in Liverpool comprising of Matthew Murphy, Daniel Haggis and Tord Knudsen.
The guys described their first album 'A Guide to Love, Loss & Depression' as sounding like 'a dog barking in your face' adding they've toned things down for their new record.
Matthew went on to say "The second (album) one was a well produced dog barking in your face, but with this one I think we all just wanted to tone it back a little bit.
"Instead of recording 20 guitars all doing the same thing, let’s just record one properly and let it be heard and let that shine through rather than trying to make something overtly bombastic."
