First up, King Diamond "No Presents for Christmas" from Jack, who wanted some comedy 80's thrash to liven up the Christmas period.
Next a real tear jerker from our own Jonny Cash, Willie Nelsons "Pretty Paper"
Anna, usually of sound mind, chose this for her favourite Christmas tune...
My personal favourite came from Chris, who explains why he picked this little known track from cult band Half Man Half Biscuit below the video. Enjoy! (ps - I'm pretty certain its not the official video, or if one was ever done, but it works well!)
"As you get older and more cynical, it’s easy to slip into a rut and forever bellyache about the commercialisation of Christmas. But, railing against the Humbug, this song is a unexpected departure for the usually sardonic Half Man Half Biscuit as they make the argument against seeing Christmas as an excuse to be miserable and to just enjoy it. It certainly reminds me to lighten up and dispel the shade of Scrooge when the festive adverts start appearing in October."
