There’s
this whole new thing about web
videos and how a good one should not look like a TV ad, but rather be taking full advantage of the freedom and flexibility of
the Internet. You may have noticed that the ads you see on the web, specifically YouTube ads,
tend to be a shorter and tweaked version of an ad that ran on TV. There's nothing special about that, as web ads can be made much more interactive with smart use of the good old internet.
There is one web video that has caught lots of people’s attention, including ours, as an example
of a good web ad. That is the very short ‘behind the scenes’ mini-documentary
from McDonald’s Canada. The concept for the video is simple, as it responds to
a question from the public: why McDonald’s burgers look better in ads than in
real life.
