We give a big virtual high-five to this Stockport based branch of McDonald's that started playing classical music late at night to try and stop drunken fights. The branch turns to the soothing sounds of Beethoven and Brahms to calm customers who pour in from nearby pubs and clubs.
It's a very smart thing to do: the classical music clearly differentiates between the night club atmosphere that some customers have just left and the more serene family restaurant atmosphere in McDonald's. Stockport council tried and tested the classical method before by playing classical music into a particularly grim alleyway to try and disperse nuisance youths and it worked!
This may be the first time the classical tactic has been used inside a business in Stockport, but this is exactly the kind of thing we do for our lovely clients on a day-to-day basis. We do everything from music profiling to find the right music for the business to installation so all that is left is to press play! Customers can then enjoy soothing music to enhance their overall shopping experience in a safe and welcoming environment. We're lovin' it!
Oh and here's a little Beethoven for you, in case you need some soothing yourself!
