We caught up with Twenty-one year old Hannah Grace last week in Cardiff, the
multi-talented vocal powerhouse who released her debut EP, Meant to be Kind which was released on the 28th July through Gabrielle Aplin’s own record label, Never Fade Records, the second artist
to be championed by Gabrielle following last years acclaimed launch of Saint Raymond.
Hailing from Bridgend in South Wales, Hannah worked on Meant To Be Kind in between her studies at the
prestigious Royal Welsh College of
Music and Drama in Cardiff. It was travelling back and forth to London
during uni breaks that saw Hannah write and produce the EP with songwriter/producer Luke Potashnick (Gabrielle Aplin, The Temperance Movement), the results of which are quite stunning!
Hannah came to the attention of Gabrielle Aplin in 2012; a successful
support tour with Gabrielle followed after which Hannah was invited to sing backing vocals on her next sold out UK English Rain tour (2013). Gabrielle decided to further champion Hannah by giving her the platform to launch her own work
though Never Fade Records, the label initially created to self-release her
first three EP’s and now being utilised as a creative forum for
fresh, unsigned artists to develop their sound and get heard.
