John Lewis Milton Keynes, Making Music Happen
Monday, 16 February 2015
Our new favorite John Lewis store in Milton Keynes is inviting music groups of all genres to apply for funding across the city.
The John Lewis Partnership has a proud history of supporting music in the community, and the Music Matters programme is designed to support local groups which make an 'outstanding contribution' to their local community through music.
Donations of between £500 and £3,000 are available, with groups of any type or quality encouraged to bid from choirs and bands to orchestras.
It can also help schemes where groups need funding to start a musical group, or help schools teach music to children.
Paul Hunt, Managing Director at John Lewis Milton Keynes, said: 'Music can make such a difference to peoples lives - it really has the power to bring people together in our local community.
We hope that through Music Matters we can go some way to help people take part in a musical experience that really has an impact.'
So on a rather gloomy Monday morning Imagesound salute you John Lewis Milton Keynes on your outstanding contribution to music and your local community, keep up the good work!
