The Caffe Nero/Imagesound Stage at Cornbury is a great place to discover both new and established talent in an intimate setting.
It's reputation has grown over the years and is now a
favoured destination for many of the regular Cornbury Festival goers.
This year the singers range from the young, upcoming
Lauren Thalia who's just 15 years old, to Kiki Dee who has sung backing vocals
for Dusty Springfield and had a No.1 single with Elton John (Don't Go Breaking
My Heart).
Other highlights this year are The Dunwells, Jon Allen,
Melissa James and Leddra Chapman.
We're particularly looking forward to seeing Kizzy,
who is a 17 year old Welsh singer with Bajan heritage. To quote her biog..
"Her ambition as a black Welsh artist is to make her
mark by fusing bilingual soul/jazz".
We think she's a definite future star, once the rest of
the music industry has caught on to her.
For those who can't make it to the Cornbury Festival, the
alternative is to sit in the warmth and comfort of one of the 500 Caffe Neros
and listen to the playlist which includes tracks by all of the artists
appearing on the Acoustic stage.
